Psalm 75
For the one directing: [To] “Do not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. 1 We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks—for Your name is near—recounting Your wonders.
“When I take the appointed place, I will judge uprightly.
At the dissolving of the earth and all its dwellers, I measure out its pillars. Selah
I said to those boasting, ‘You⁺ shall not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘You⁺ shall not lift up the horn;
you⁺ shall not lift up your⁺ horn to the height, [or] speak with an insolent neck.’”
For [it is] not from the going forth or from the sinking, and not from the wilderness [is] exaltation,
But God is judging—this one He brings low, and this one He lifts up.
For a cup [is] in the hand of YHWH, and the wine is foaming, full of mixture, and He shall pour out from this—how its dregs shall be wrung out—[and] all the wicked of the earth shall drink.
And I will declare [it] forever; I will make music to the God of Jacob.
“And all the horns of the wicked I will cut off; the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”
