Psalm 47

1 For the one directing. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. <span class=|reftext|><a href=|#|><b>1</b></a> All [you] peoples, clap your hands; shout unto God, with a voice of a ringing cry!

2 For YHWH-Elyon [is] to be feared; [He is] the great King over all the earth.

3 He turns back the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.

4 He chose for us our inheritance, the excellence of Jacob, whom He loves. Selah

5 God has gone up with a shout, YHWH with the voice of a shofar.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!

7 For the King of all the earth [is] God—sing praises [with] skill!

8 God reigns over the nations; God sits upon the throne of His holiness.

9 The princes of the peoples have gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham; for the shields of the earth [are] unto God—[He is] greatly to be exalted.
