Psalm 37

Of David. 1 You should not fret ove those doing evil, and do not be jealous of the workers of iniquity.

For like the grass, soon they are cut off, and like the green of the herb they shall wither.

Trust in YHWH and do good; dwell in the land and graze in faithfulness.

And delight yourself in YHWH, and He will give to you the desires of your heart.

Roll upon YHWH your way; trust in Him, and He will act.

And He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, and your justice like the noonday sun.

Be still before YHWH, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret over the one succeeding in his path, over the man making schemes.

Cease from anger, and leave [behind] wrath; you should not burn—[it] only causes harm.

For those doing evil will be cut off, and those waiting on YHWH, they will inherit the land.

And in yet a little while, the wicked man [is] no more; and you will look for his place, and it [is] no more.

And the meek will inherit the land, and they will delight in the abundance of peace.

The wicked man is plotting against the righteous one and is gnashing his teeth at him.

The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming.

The wicked have drawn out the sword and have bent their bows, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay those upright in the path.

Their sword will come [into] their own heart, and their bows will be broken.

Better [is] the little of the righteous, than the riches of many wicked.

For the arms of the wicked will be broken, and YHWH upholds the righteous.

YHWH Knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will be forever.

They will not be ashamed in a time of evil, and in days of famine they will be satisfied.

But the wicked will perish, and the enemies of YHWH; like the splendor of the meadows they will be consumed, [and] with the smoke they will be consumed.

The wicked borrows and does not repay, and the righteous one is gracious and giving.

For those being blessed by Him will inherit the land, and those being cursed by Him will be cut off.

By YHWH the steps of a man are established, and in his way He delights.

Though he falls, he will not be cast down, for YHWH is upholding his hand.

I have been young, and I am old; and I have not seen the righteous forsaken, and his seed seeking bread.

All the day, he is gracious and lending, and his seed are a blessing.

Turn away from evil and do good, and you will dwell forever.

For YHWH loves justice, and He will not forsake His holy ones; forever they are preserved, and the seed of the wicked will be cut off.

The righteous will inherit the land, and they will dwell forever in it.

The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.

The law of his God [is] in his heart; his steps do not slip.

The wicked is keeping watch on the righteous, and he is seeking to kill him.

YHWH will not leave him in his hand, and will not declare him wicked in his being judged.

Wait on YHWH and keep His way, and He will exalt you [so as] to possess the land; in the cutting off [of] the wicked, you will see [it].

I have seen a wicked, ruthless one spread out like a luxuriant native tree.

And he passed away, and behold, he was no more; and indeed I sought him, and he could not be found.

Observe a blameless one, and see an upright one, for the end of the man [is] well-being.

But those transgressing will be destroyed together; the end for the wicked man is cut off.

And the salvation of the righteous [is] from YHWH; He [is] their stronghold in time of distress.

And YHWH helps them and rescues them; He shall rescue them from the wicked and save them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
