Psalm 36

1 For the one directing. Of the servant of YHWH, of David. An utterance <span class=|reftext|><a href=|#|><b>1</b></a> Of the transgression of the wicked [is] within my heart; there is no dread of God before his eyes.

2 For he is flattering to himself in his own eyes, having found his iniquity to be hated.

3 The words of his mouth [are] wickedness and deceit; he has ceased to be prudent and do good.

4 He devises iniquity upon his bed; he stands himself on a path [that is] not good; he does not reject evil.

5 O YHWH, Your loving devotion [is] into the heavens, Your faithfulness as far as the clouds.

6 Your righteousness [is] like the mountains of Might, Your ordinances the great deep; You keep safe man and beast, O YHWH.

7 How precious [is] Your loving devotion, O God! Even the sons of man take refuge under the shadow of Your wings.

8 They are filled from the fatness of Your house, and You let them drink [from] the stream of Your delights.

9 For with You [is] the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

10 Draw out Your loving devotion to those knowing You, and Your righteousness to the upright of heart.

11 Do not let the foot of pride come against me, and the hand of the wicked, do not let it drive me away.

12 There the workers of iniquity do fall! They have been cast down, and are not able to rise.
