Psalm 30

A Psalm. A song [for] the dedication of the house of David. 1 I will exalt You, O YHWH, for You have drawn me up, and You did not let my enemies rejoice over me.

O YHWH my God, I cried for help to You, and You healed me.

O YHWH, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; from my going down [to] the Pit, You have kept me alive.

Make music to YHWH, His faithful ones, and praise His holy name.

For a moment [is] His anger; for a lifetime [is] His favor. In the night lodges weeping, and in the morning, joy.

And I said in my prosperity, “I will not be shaken forever.”

O YHWH, by Your favor You made my mountain stand strong; You have hidden Your face—I was dismayed.

To You, O YHWH, I called out, and to my Lord I made supplication.

“What profit [is] in my blood, in my going down to the Pit? Will the dust confess You? Will it declare Your truth?

Hear, O YHWH, and have mercy on me; O YHWH, be the One giving help to me.”

You have turned my mourning to dancing for me; You have opened my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

so that [my] glory will sing praise to you, and not be silent. O YHWH, my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
