Psalm 142
A Maskil of David, in his being in the cave. A prayer. 1 With my voice to YHWH I cry out; with my voice to YHWH I plead for grace.
I pour out before Him my complaint; I declare my distress before Him.
With the weakening of my spirit within me, You indeed know my path; on the road that I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
Look [to] the right and see, and no one attends to me; the place of refuge has perished for me; no one is inquiring for my soul.
I cried out to You, O YHWH; I said, “You [are] my refuge, my portion in the land of the living!”
Attend to my cry, for exceedingly I am brought low! Deliver me from my pursuers, for they are stronger than I.
Bring forth my soul from prison, for giving praise by me [to] Your name! Let the righteous ones surround me, for You deal bountifully with me.
