Psalm 105

Give thanks to YHWH; call on His name; make known among the nations His deeds!

Sing to Him, make music to Him; meditate on all His wonders!

Glory in the name of His holiness; let the heart of those seeking YHWH rejoice!

Search after YHWH and His strength; seek His face continually.

Remember His wonders that He has done—His wonders and the judgments of His mouth—

O seed of Abraham His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!

He [is] YHWH our God; His judgments [are] over all the earth.

He remembers His covenant forever—the word He commanded for a thousand generations—

that which He cut with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac.

And He established it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel [as] a covenant forever,

saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, the portion of your⁺ inheritance.”

In their being few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,

and they went about from nation to nation, from a kingdom to another people.

He has permitted no man to oppress them, and He rebuked kings for them:

“You⁺ shall not touch My anointed ones, and to My prophets You⁺ shall not do evil.”

And He called down famine on the land; the whole staff of bread He has broken.

He sent before them a man, [to] be sold as a slave—Joseph.

They afflicted his feet with the fetters; [into] iron came his neck,

until the time of the coming of His word—the word of YHWH tried him.

The king sent and released him, and the ruler of the peoples drew him out.

He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance,

to instruct his princes by his soul, and his elders to make wise.

And Israel came to Egypt, and Jacob resided in the land of Ham.

And His people He made exceedingly fruitful, and made them mightier than their enemies.

He turned their heart to hate His people, to act deceitfully with His servants.

He sent Moses His servant, Aaron whom He had chosen.

They set among them the words of His signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.

He sent darkness and it became dark, and they defied His words.

He turned their waters to blood, and He put to death their fish.

Their land swarmed with frogs, in the inner chambers of their kings.

He spoke, and the swarm came, gnats in all their country.

He gave hail for rain, flames of fire in their land.

And He struck their vines and their fig trees, and He shattered the trees of their country.

He spoke, and the locust came, and the young locust without number,

and it ate up every herb in their land, and it devoured the fruit of their ground.

And He struck all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigor.

And He brought them out with silver and gold, and there were none among His tribes stumbling.

Egypt was glad at their going out, for the dread of them had fallen upon them.

He spread a cloud for a screen, and fire to light up the night.

They asked, and He brought quail, and with the bread of the heavens He satisfied them.

He opened the rock, and waters gushed from it; they went forth in the desert like a river.

For He remembered the word of His holiness to Abraham His servant.

And He brought out His people with rejoicing, [and] His chosen with a shout of joy.

And He gave to them the lands of the nations, and they possessed the labor of the peoples,

that they may keep His statutes and obey His laws. Hallelu YAH!
