Psalm 63

A Psalm of David, in his being in the wilderness of Judah. 1 O God, You [are] my God; I seek after You—my soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You—in a land dry and weary, without waters.

So in the sanctuary I have seen You, to behold Your power and Your glory.

Because Your loving devotion [is] better than life, my lips will praise You.

So I will bless You in my life; in Your name I will lift up my hands.

As [with] milk and fatness, my soul is satisfied, and with lips of joyful shouts, my mouth will praise You,

when I remember You on my bed, through the watches of the night I meditate on You.

For You have been a help to me, and in the shadow of Your wings I will shout for joy].

My soul clings to You; Your right hand has taken hold of me.

And those [who] seek my soul for desolation, they will go into the depths of the earth.

They will fall by the hand of the sword; they will become a portion for foxes.

And the king will rejoice in God; everyone swearing by Him will exult, but the mouth of those speaking lies will be stopped up.
