Psalm 16
A Miktam of David. 1 Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You.
I said to YHWH, “You [are] my Lord. My goodness [is] nothing apart from You.”
As for the holy ones who [are] in the land, they and the excellent ones, all my delight [is] in them.
May their sorrows be multiplied, those who hurry [after] another! I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, and I will not lift up their names upon my lips.
YHWH, [is] the portion of my share, and my cup; You [are] the One upholding my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in the pleasant [places]; indeed, a pleasing inheritance [is] unto me.
I will bless YHWH, who counsels me; even [in] the nights, my kidneys instruct me.
I have set YHWH before me continually; because [He is] at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely.
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, and You will not give Your Holy one to see corruption.
You make known to me the path of life; fullness of joys [is] with Your face, pleasant [things] [are] at Your right hand forever.
