Psalm 147
Hallelu YAH! For [it is] good to praise our God—how pleasant [and] beautiful [is] praise!
The One building up Jerusalem [is] YHWH, [and] He gathers together the exiles of Israel,
giving healing to the broken of heart, and binding up their wounds,
Appointing the number of the stars—for all of them He calls by names.
Great [is] our Lord, and abundant in power; of His understanding there is no numbering!
YHWH restores the humble; He casts down the wicked to the ground.
Sing to YHWH with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp,
[to] the One covering the heavens with clouds, the One preparing rain for the earth, the One making grass sprout on the hills,
giving to the beast its food, [and] to the young of the ravens that call out.
He does not delight in the strength of the horse, and not in the legs of the man does He take pleasure.
YHWH is pleased with those who fear him, those hoping in His loving devotion.
Exalt, O Jerusalem, YHWH; praise your God, O Zion!
For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your sons within you.
The One making peace [for] your border, He satisfies you with the fat of wheat.
The One sending forth His utterance [to] the earth, how swiftly His word runs!
The One giving snow like wool, He scatters the frost like ashes,
casting forth His hail like morsels; before the face of His cold, who can stand?
He sends out His word and melts them; His wind he makes blow, [and] the waters flow.
He declares His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.
He has not done so for any nation; and His judgments they have not known. Praise YAH!
