Psalm 118

1 Give thanks to YHWH, for [He is] good, for His loving devotion [is] forever!

2 Now let Israel say that His loving devotion [is] forever!

3 Now let the house of Aaron say that His loving devotion [is] forever!

4 Now let those fearing YHWH say that His loving devotion [is] forever!

5 In distress I called on YAH; YAH answered me in a broad place.

6 YHWH [is] with me; I will not fear—what can man do to me?

7 YHWH [is] with me as the One helping me; and I shall look on those hating me.

8 [It is] better to take refuge in YHWH, than to trust in man.

9 [It is] better to take refuge in YHWH, than to trust in princes.

10 All nations surrounded me; in the name of YHWH I surely cut them off.

11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me, and in the name of YHWH I surely cut them off!

12 They have surrounded me like bees, they have been extinguished as fire among thorns; and in the name of YHWH I surely cut them off!

13 You have severely thrust me that I might fall, and YHWH helped me.

14 My strength and song [is] YAH; and He has become to me salvation.

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation [is] in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of YHWH acts with strength.

16 The right hand of YHWH is exalted; the right hand of YHWH acts with strength.”

17 I will not die, but I will live, that I might recount the works of YAH.

18 Yah, chastened me severely, and to death He has not given me up.

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them; I will give thanks to YAH.

20 This [is] the gate of YHWH; the righteous shall enter into it.

21 I thank You, for You have answered me, and You have become to me for salvation.

22 The stone the builders rejected has become as the head of the corner.

23 From YHWH this is; it is marvelous in our eyes.

24 This [is] the day YHWH has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 I ask, O YHWH, save [us] now. I ask, O YHWH, send prosperity now!

26 Blessed [is] the one coming in the name of YHWH; we bless you⁺ from the house of YHWH.

27 YHWH [is] God, and He has given light to us! Bind the festal sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar!

28 You [are] my God, and I will give You thanks; my God, I will exalt You!

29 Give thanks to YHWH, for [He is] good; for His loving devotion [is] forever!
