Psalm 116
I have loved because YHWH has heard the voice of my supplications,
Because He has inclined His ear to me, even in the day I called.
The cords of death surrounded me, and the straits of Sheol found me; distress and sorrow did I find.
And in the name of YHWH I called out: “I pray, O YHWH, deliver my soul!”
Gracious [is] YHWH, and righteous; and our God is compassionate.
YHWH preserves the simple ones; I was brought low, and to me He gave salvation.
Return my soul, to your rest, for YHWH has dealt kindly with you.
For you were rescued from death, O my soul, my eye from tears, my feet from stumbling.
I will walk before the face of YHWH in the land of the living.
I believed, therefore I said, “I afflicted am greatly.”
I said in my hastening, “Every man is a liar.”
What shall I return to YHWH; all His benefits [are] upon me?
I will take up the cup of salvation, and upon the name of YHWH I will call.
I will fulfill My vows to YHWH now in front of all His people.
Precious in the eyes of YHWH [is] the death of His holy ones.
I ask, O YHWH—surely I [am] Your servant; I [am] Your servant, son of Your maidservant—You have loosed my bonds!
To You I will sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and in [your] name, O YHWH, I will call.
I will fulfill My vows to YHWH now in front of all His people,
in the courts of the house of YHWH, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelu YAH!
