Psalm 11

For the one directing. Of David. 1 In YHWH I have taken refuge. How can you⁺ say to my soul, “Flee to your⁺ mountain a bird!

For, behold, the wicked tread the bow; they make ready their arrow upon the string, to shoot in the darkness at those upright in heart.

If the foundations are thrown down, the righteous—what can he do?”

YHWH [is] is in His holy temple; YHWH—in the heavens [is] His throne. His eyes are watching, His eyelids examine the sons of man.

YHWH tests the righteous, and His soul hates the wicked one and the lover of violence.

May He rain [down] coals upon the wicked, fire and brimstone; and a burning wind [is] the portion of their cup.

For YHWH [is] righteous; He loves righteousness; the upright one will see His face.
