Psalm 1

1 Blessed [is] the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, and in the path of sinners does not stand, and in the seat of those mocking does not sit.

2 But rather his delight [is] in the law of YHWH, and in His law he meditates day and night.

3 And he is like a tree planted by streams of water, which gives its fruit in its time; and its leaf shall not wither, and all that he does, he makes prosper.

4 Not so the wicked! But rather [they are] like the chaff, which the wind drives away.

5 Upon thus the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor the sinful ones in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For YHWH knows the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.
