Leviticus 12

1 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘A woman, that conceives and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days. As in the days of the uncleanness of her menstruation, she shall be unclean.

3 And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

4 And thirty days and three days she shall continue in the blood of [her] purification. She shall not touch any holy thing, and she shall not come into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.

5 And if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks like her menstruation, and sixty days and six days she shall continue in the blood of [her] purification.

6 And in the fulfilling of the days of her purification, for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring near a lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt offering, and a son of a pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest.

7 And he shall bring it near before the face of YHWH, and he shall make atonement upon her, and she shall be clean from the flow of her blood. This [is] the law of the one giving birth, for the male or for the female.

8 And if her hand is not able to bring a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two sons of a pigeon, one for a burnt offering and one for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement upon her, and she will be clean.’”
